I searched through the forums and none of the answers apply to my situation. I'm simply starting a new project on Captivate (not importing or copy/pasting from a different medium) and when I click the preview button it takes me to a web based window that does nothing but load. I'm not sure what to do about it since I'm very new to using the software and my troubleshooting skills are very limited. Thank you in advance!
You need to upgrade, using Help, Updates. That patch was released only recently, don't know why it is not yet embedded for new users.
For a responsive project (fluid boxes I suspect) all preview methods use a temporary HTML output which is launched in your default browser. Which browser do you use as default browser? Off topic: are you new to Captivate? If yes, please don't start with a responsive project using Fluid Boxes. If the project is not launching in Preview, maybe something is awry with the project.
