Hi,

Greeting for the day...

I have a question below, Please help me.

  1. How to get external elements(xml text, images, audio...) into the library, then use them?
  2. How to make them animate without using timeline, means with custom program?

Thanks in Advance...

You can easily import images and audio files into the Library via the small Import button on the Library toolbar (at the top of the Library).

You can also use File > Import > External Library to select another CPTX file and gain access to the Library items in that other project.

However, importing XML (via File > Import > XML) does not add this code text to the Library.

Animating objects on the Captivate stage without using the default timeline tools would require expertise in programming languages such as ActionScript 3 (for SWF output) or JavaScript (for HTML5 output).  Adobe doesn't really supply much information about doing either for Adobe Captivate.  But there are some experts on this forum that might be able to help.  Be aware that their services might come at a cost.

For the library use, have a look at this blog post:

Internal and External Libraries - Captivate blog

Custom effects can be created in XML. They are not stored in the Library but you are able to access them in any location and they'll appear in advanced actions in the category 'Custom'.
