Captive 8 videos repeating - playing more than once

It's not an elegant fix, but I got around it with the following:

     The video should be set to "Modify the slide duration to accommodate video" when inserted into the slide

     Extend the slide by a few seconds

     Then add a button to display after the video and give it an action of "Go to next slide"

Using Captivate 8.0.0.145

Just an update

we updated Captivate to 8.0 3xxx

no change

we recut the video in Premiere and removed te audio from the end - at one stage we thought it was the audio recycling because occasionally the video would replay blank white while the audio played

We broke the record - it recycled 5 times on a test new project (I wanted to hang myself hearing it over and over again)

So we reinstalled removed prefs removed cache prayed to Buddha, made tea and spent most of the night with it - that is me and various helpful guys at Adobe.

So now it is an open ticket. to be resolved.

Adobe guys suggest that Captivate 9 fixes this problem... (excuse me but am skeptical) I might download the free to use to test this

Meanwhile my project goes ahead in SWF Only for now (html is dead to me)

Will update when the very helpful and rather jolly guys at Adobe get back to me and see if we can indeed make our CEO speak only once!

Well I think it is fair to say that a 1.15 m video cannot work once when published to html

adobe help been trying this for 30 minutes now and must be getting bored of seeing every video twice. We have tried adding pause buttons but the thing keeps playing twice before the button appears

Apparently this is fixed in captivate 9 (not sure am believing that) so if you have version 8 it is SWF only

at least I am not going crazy and have an explicit admission of fail in captivate 8. Be nice if I could get a replacement for faulty goods :-)
