Is it possible to capture audio from programs, like Adobe Audtion, if I'll
create a demonstration of this software, for example?

Thanks

Renato

I've found what I like to call a 'brutal' work around for all sound capture issues. You can even capture the audio from a web-stream and you don't need extra software...
    - Get an audio cable with 'two male ends'. ( with 3/8" jacks the kind used in stardard headphones).
    - Plug one end into you mic port and the other end into your speaker port and viola...
I also have a splitter coming out of my speaker port so I can hear the audio I'm recording.

Has anyone found the specs for the audio hardware that allows the "system audio" choice for recording?

    Hi Rick,

    Thanks for the quickly answer.

I've a Live 5.1 sound card and I intend to use to capture the sound directly
from the program (waves, mp3s, etc).

    What do you think

    Hi Renato

If you have the right equipment you might be able to. Captivate 3 introduces a new feature found by clicking Audio > Settings...

When you do this, you will see that a new option appears in the "Input Source" area. The new option is labeled: System Audio.

Here's the good, the bad and the ugly of it.

The good: The option is present and may work for you
The bad: It probably won't work for all that have Captivate
The ugly: It doesn't work for me

I've been told by others that the reason it doesn't work for me (I initially discovered it with Camtasia Studio) is because my sound hardware doesn't support it.

    Cheers... Rick
