Capturing screenshots

Question

I am new to Captivate - literally, have never used it. How do I  capture screenshots from my laptop - this would be screenshots from various applications.

There are two ways of recording (not only static snapthsots but software workflows):

If you only want to show a video of a work flow, you ca use the Video Demo project (cpvc). You can only publisht to MP4 (video) in that case)
If you want also interactivity, go with Software Simulation (cptx-file) it will offer you three possible modes of capturing: Demo (no interactivity but slide-based instead of a long video), Training mosde (interactive) and Assessment mode (interactive as well, less hints, scores possible).

If you use the second method, all background shapshots used on the slides will appear in the Library.
