Capturing Voice Content from SME

What is the best way to capture voice content from SME's?  I have been provided a ppt. deck that I am transfering to e-learning using captivate.  I need SME to provide me with audio transcript, or audio file.  Requesting best approach.

    You could probably ask 10 people and get 10 different answers for this one.

    This would be a broad description of my approach.


    I use a Yeti mic and and a copy of Audacity.

    Schedule the interview - ask questions and record.

    Doctor it up as needed and export it as an mp3.

    Bring it into Captivate and have it launch with a button press.
