Challenge with Sound

Recently I was publishing a new course and the sound didn't automatically start.  At first I thought it was a problem with my new course but then I went back to make some edits to an older course and re-published it and the same thing happened?  My course is temporarily housed on a server for the client to be able to view and what happens is that it loads and looks like it is playing (with no sound).  If you hit the fast-forward button and then the back button...the sound on the title slide will begin.  Has anyone else run into this recently?  Here is the demo hosting of the course so that you can see what I'm talking about - www.careydesigns.net/SNCCourseDemo/Module_1/index_scorm.html

Which Browser do you use? I'm asking this because the most recent version of Chrome disabled AutoPlay for all websites and eLearning courses run as a website. That may be the origin of your problems. Chrome got a lot of complaints and there may be a fix in the future but at this moment best approach is to turn off AutoPlay, and have a Poster image. Have a look at this blog post:

Unfortunately that's not it cause I've tried it on three different versions of Chrome, 4 of IE and Firefox and it behaves the same way each time.  But that was a nice thought *wink*

Did you publish with the most recent version of Captivate 2017, which is 10.0.1.285? In that version AutoPlay is turned off even for non-responsive projects, when publishing to HTML. It was already turned off for responsive projects in previous versions.
