Is there any way to change the bullets styles in Captivate captions? I would like to use something else besides the circle.

Thanks,
KLW

Hi floridagirl2008 and welcome to the forums!

The only way I know of to use different bullets might be to create them in a word processor like MSWord and then paste them into Captivate.

Captivate tends to remember imported styles, even if it does not offer the ability to edit them further once they're pasted in.

You can also use the Import/Export caption functionality under the File menu to export all your captions to Word and change everything at once.

As an example, here's how I do it:

1. Open the default MSWord template in the Captivate install directory and create a custom style that matches what I want things to look like.

2. Save the template.

3. Use the Export function to export my project captions to Word. The exported document includes the styles I created in the template.

4. Do a search/replace for the Captivate-formatted text and replace it with the styles I created (in Word 2003, you can search/replace formatting and styles on the Find and Replace dialog by clicking the More button and then using the Format and Special drop downs).

5. Import the captions back into Captivate. The caption text now reflects the styles from Word.
