Captivate v5.5

I am about to edit an existing project and want to change the style of all the captions throughout the project as quickly and simply as possible.

I know this is a simple task from within the PI - but seem unable to get this to happen.

Help please ......

Noel

Noel, did you try using the Object Style Mangler?

Hi Rick,

I have changed the text caption style in the "mangler" and set it as default.

The first slide of my project has a text caption which is now in the new default style.

Now what I want to do is to select the text caption that has the required style (on first slide) and tell captivate to apply the same style to all the other text captions throught the project...but I just dont seem to be able to get it to work.

You need to realise that not all captions are the same.  For example, Success, Failure, Hint, and Capture captions, though they may be captions, are also separate types of objects in Captivate.  So you can select them individually and set them to look like any of the various caption types.  However, when you try to apply a style to all captions in a project, you may find that they don't get included in the change because of their type.

How are you currently trying to apply this new style to all captions?  Are you clicking the Apply this Style To button under the Style drop down and then selecting a particular existing Style in the dialog?
