Question

changes in 9 are cascading up

I watched a lot of videos about how if I arrange my desktop layout first, then go to tablet, that the changes I make to tablet WON'T affect the desktop layout, though they will cascade (not sure if I'm using the right word) down to phone.

But I'm changing things in tablet, go back to see desktop, and it's been ruined.

What am I missing, or what am I doing wrong? I didn't have this problem in 8.

TIA for any help. I'm literally at a standstill, as any edit I do changes previous work.

To clarify, I had perfectly sized shapes to drag and drop in desktop. I had to edit them to work in tablet and phone. The shapes in desktop, when I returned to view the whole project, had lost their formatting.

It's probably something stupid and simple, but I'm clueless.

Hi,

Can you elaborate further as to what exactly were the changes you made in lower views?

Thanks,

Mohana

I needed to resize smart shapes and resize text on them. I had to rearrange them a bit to make them look better aligned.

That was it. I worked on down to phone. When I returned to review desktop, the shape texts were all reverted to the original state, which was one word duplicated four times, to make five words, and on tablet view as well.

Should I just ditch it and start a new one, and see if it keeps happening?
