Question

Clarification on incomplete Pass/Fail - LMS not displaying proper indication - help please

I need some clarification.  It seems things are working differently than I remember.

I am working in CP8 on a windows PC.

I have a 2 question test, 50 points each question, 70% required to pass, SCORM 1.2

I would like my LMS to display PASS or FAIL, but it is always displaying PASS even when I only get one question right.

I have been reading and is it true that PASS just means that you finished the course?

If I set the mastery score in my LMS to 70%, then the lesson does indeed display as PASS or FAIL just like I want.

But is there a way to do this without using the mastery score in the LMS?

I am testing on Inquisiq. My client is using Digital Ignite and says "we don't have to set anything for a SCORM lesson".

Thanks everyone!!

What are the Quiz Preferences, Reporting?  Did you try to upload to SCORM cloud to see if it is working correctly there?

From what I've read, Captivate is behaving correctly and it is the LMS that needs to interpret the settings and display the Pass/Fail.

Here are screen shots of what I've got set:

with this

and for giggles I tried this too:

I had the same issue. I would suggest that you check the imsmanifest file for the line <adlcp:masteryscore>80</adlcp:masteryscore> and change it to <adlcp:masteryscore></adlcp:masteryscore>

The mastery score defaults to 80 and the LMS gets confused about that so it is best to just blank it out.
