Question

Click and reveal buttons - states of buttons need to revert to normal

Hi,

I have a slide that has 5 buttons. Each button, when you click on it, displays different information in a separate box. I have created a custom state for each button (selected) so when the button is selected that state shows. I did this all this by using advanced actions.

However, when the learner clicks a different button, I would like the state of that initial button to go back to "normal". I know I can do this by adding more actions to "change state of" for each of the other 4 buttons to "normal" when the user clicks on the new button, but that seems like an awful lot of work just to do something that is very simple.

Am I missing something and making this more difficult that it seems? This kind of thing is so much easier in Storyline.

Thanks

Yonca

Use StoryLine in that case. There are many work flows easier on Captivate, other on SL. This is not clarifying the question.

Taking off 'Retain state' and replaying the slide would put all the buttons back to the Normal state.

That's a nice idea. I would if I could, but I can't in this case. So, can you please tell me if this is the only way to do this?

    Thank you,
