Click boxes don't 'jump to slide'on my PC, but do on another PC.

This is sooo frustrating.  I've created a course in CP4.  On my PC, when either pre-viewing the .cp file or viewing the published .swf or .htm files, some of the click boxes have 1/2 functionality:  they are set to 'multiple action:  show a check mark and jump to a slide'; but they only show a check mark.

There are 8 click boxes on slide 3.  2 of them work perfectly--they show their check marks and jump to slides 4 and 5, respectively.  The rest of them show only the check mark and won't jump to their respective slides (slide 6, 7, etc.).

On top of that, when my co-worker takes my .cp file and publishes it, the click boxes ALL work fine for her.  What does this mean????

I tried the Factory Reset of deleting my Captivate_40.dat file.  What else can I do?  It appears to be a file issue...other courses seem to be working fine.

Correct answer Lilybiri

Just figured it out.  Duh.  Even though I don't have a formal 'quiz', I still have to have the 'allow backward movement' quiz preference checked.  Sheesh.  Who knew?  All's well now.

Hello,

If you have a scored object, you have created a Quiz even if it is an informal one

Hello,

I'm not sure that it will help, but did have some similar experiences with 'multiple actions' and since always replaced them by Advanced actions. The last seem to be more stable in CP4 (CP5 has no multiple actions anymore).

Thanks Lilibiri!  I've found that you are correct...advanced actions do seem more 'stable' than multiple actions.

In my case, I have no idea why this is, but I figured out that my remote desktop server was hung.  After tech support fixed that issue, all the clickboxes worked in this file.  I had been using the remote desktop server to send the course to our LMS...perhaps the course got 'stuck' out there and caused its functionality to crash in the mean time?

Anyway, it now works with the exception of a button at the end of an activity. The button is set to execute an advanced action:  jump to slide 3, hide a text caption and a button, and reset the 'score' user variable to '0'.  It resets the score variable to '0', hides both objects, but WON'T jump to slide 3.  Any ideas?  In preview, even the 'rewind' button won't go back to the beginning from this decision slide.  It's like there's a block on this slide that only allows it to move forward, not backward.
