Question

Clickbox and button incompatibility

I can really use some help on this one. We are creating a software task in Captivate 3. We have it set up so that there are 3 clicboxes staggered across the timeline. Each one displays for .5 seconds and pauses until the user clicks. The reason for this is so we can provide progressive feedback for each wrong click. We also have 12 buttons on screen. These buttons jump to different slides in the project that represent the different steps in the task. The problem is that with these buttons on screen, the failure message for the first clickbox appears, but the next 2 don't. If I remove the buttons, it works fine. I've tried changing when the buttons pause (both before and after the clickboxes) and I've changed the buttons so they don't pause at all. Please help!

If you're using Failure captions, Captivate allows only one interaction per slide.

Instead of adding all three click boxes on one slide, put each on on it's own slide and apply the same background to each slide.

Set the "On success" value for each click box to "Go to next slide" and you should be all good.
