Clicks in quiz question after feedback displayed

I have a project with custom navigation (no playbar) and the quiz questions show correct/incorrect text caption feedback (which are part of the question master slide).

When the user answers a question, feedback is displayed and actions activate the next button.

The problem is that if the user doesn't click the next button but instead clicks the submit button or anywhere else in the window the feedback disappears.

I could turn off Quiz > captions > Correct and use custom text captions for feedback but I need to allow Captivate to manage the display of the feedback for any subsequent quiz attempt the user may make during the session.

How can I stop clicks hiding the feedback without having to lose master slide feedback?

To reply to my own post, I just found out that this is the way Captivate has "always" worked. I guess it's a decision someone made a decade ago and no one's been in a position to change it :-(

It would be good if you offered some more details. It looks like you tweaked the default design of the question slides, which is fine if you understand that default design. However if you break the design you could get weird results.

The feedback is not really on the master slide, but defined in the Quiz Preferences,  Default Labels. Moreover those feedback messages can be customized on each Question slide.

Maybe reading these two old blog posts could clarify the design of Quiz/Score slide. However for CP9 there is the big improvement for Review, which has dedicated Back/Next buttons. You should skip the part about confusion between Next/Skip which existed in previous versions:

Thanks for the links the content was quite interesting. I wonder why such useful info is not in an official Captivate user manual.

I need question to display the "standard" feedback but to continue to more content on the slide without needing to click anywhere and without the feedback disappearing.
