In Captivate 8 how do I create closed captioning in auto recorded software simulations? Do I have to do this manually after recordings using slides notes etc?

Yes...I understand. I may have mis-stated. I was hoping there was a way of capturing the text captions created in the simulation and then converting these using the text-to-speech/CC functions. I am in fantasy land hoping for functionalities that do not yet exist..... ...Thanks

To convert to TTS you also need to transfer to Notes panel.

Do you mean that you have recorded the audio clips at the same time? Yes, you'll need the Slide notes and check them for CC, then click on the button Closed Captioning in the Notes panel to synchronize.

No...the audio has not been recorded. I have recorded a software simulation with auto captions/text boxes. From your response I am going to have do what I was trying to avoid doing....thanks

You cannot have CC without having audio clips, that is contradictory.
