Closed Captions from Notes?

First question I have is what are the steps I need to follow to use my slide notes as closed captions? I'm not interested in the text to speech feature because I will narrate myself. I just would like my slide notes that I use when I narrate to show as closed captions.

Second, will I be able to see these closed captions without special software?

Thanks for the help.

You won't have the tickbox enabled under Slide Notes to turn them into Closed Captions until after you record your slide audio.  Then once you tick the CC boxes for each line of slide audio, you'll need to go into the slide Audio dialog to sync up the Closed Captions with your voiceover.

No special software is required to view the closed captioning in Captivate.  Your users just need to click the CC button on the playback bar for it to become visible. Or you can set up an Advanced Action to turn on CC automatically.

Thanks. I now see my notes under the audio tab "closed captioning". I also, saw that I need to click the Closed Caption box in the skin editor and now it's working great. Thank you for the help.
