Closed Captions not displaying all characters - hyphens and dashes are deleted

I posted this same issue a few days ago in another thread but got no response so I am creating a new topic.

Captivate removes any dash characters I type or copy and paste into the Closed Caption editor. I can literally watch it takes a phrase like "madness-inducing software" and replaces it with "madnessinducing software". It doesnt matter if I use hypens, en-dashes, or em-dashes. They are removed as soon as the caption box loses focus (like when I click to save captions). I am using Arial as the font so I know the glyphs are available. Why is happening?

Same here, I did see the first thread but was not able to reproduce the problem you describe.

Can you tell which version you are using? The full version number please, as you find under Help, About Captivate.

I have tried to replicate your issue and cannot.  I can type the same text you have indicated, with hyphens, into the Slide Notes or Closed Caption editor without issue.

There must be some part of the equation here that you haven't told us yet.

I am on a Windows 10 machine with Captivate 2019 version 11.5.5.553.  What are you using?
