Collaborate in same version? CP8

Hi

I've always heard that when sharing project files with others so they can work in it etc, they need to be in the exact same version or the risk for corruption or other issues might occur. That's at least what I thought until a colleague of mine claimed (after talking to an agent i Adobe's support) that is not correct. That agent said the only thing needed is to work in the same main version, in this case 8.

If then someone have version 8.01.242 and wants someone with version 8.0.3.290 to edit in the same project file, it should work without any problems, according to the support.

However, when I've been in contact with the support I've always been told to have the exact same version and I've also read about it in various discussion threads.

Therefore, I was wondering what is correct or not of this?
