HI,

I have seen some e-learning modules that allow uses to change the colour scheme and/or font size from a set of drop downs.  Is this possible in Captivate 8?

Thanks

K

If you are talking about the use of a published file, this should only be possible using actions and JS. If you are talking about creating the editing phase, read on.

Captivate 8 has a Theme Color Palette that you can change, more info in these two articles:

When I start editing an existing theme or creating a custom theme I will always start by creating a custom Theme Color Palette:

You question about font size is not totally clear to me. Font size is part of the object style of a text container (shape or caption). You can either change the fontsize using the Object Style Manager, or using the Properties panel. The fontsize is available in the Character part of the Properties panel.

    Sorry - you are right - I wasn't clear.

I meant that when the e-learning is published, the users of that e-learning can control the colours (for people who are colour blind or who find it easier to see certain font colours on certain background colours).  The same for font sizes.  Users can choose a text size (e.g. large, X large etc). so for people with visual impairments they can read the text easier.  I guess the drop down mimics the zoom control in the browser:

Not out of the box with Captivate, certainly not for color scheme. I do not know any rapid eLearning authoring tool which allows that, but could miss something.
