conditional action switched to standard action

I had this problem a few months ago, and posted here about it: conditional action switched to standard action - why?

I was advised to download a hotfix that adobe put out, but that hotfix created a error that prevented me from using captivate altogether.

the IT staff at my company advised me to uninstall all of adobe captivate and reinstall it, without the hotfix. I did this and captivate worked correctly for a while.

It has now begun to spontaneously convert conditional actions to standard actions once again.

is there anyone from adobe staff who can help me understand what to do here? I can't keep recreating my work, and I can't install a hotfix that I know will basically make captivate not work at all.
