Conditional branching questions

I am so new to this! Downloaded trial version Cp4 to decide if it will work for me before I buy it?

I would like to design an online questionnaire (more of a survey than a quiz) to acquire demographic data and more.

How do I design conditional branching?

(Also, is there a way that the responses can automatically be exported into a predesigned form or report (the various fields in this form populated by the questionnaire responses)??

Any suggestions will be of help!

Jan

    Hi Jan,

A great tool for creating surveys online is surveymonkey.com might save you some hassle... you can try it out for free, but note that once you pay (20 dollars a month) more advanced question options are available.

    Kind regards

    Hi there

And if it helps any, Adobe themselves use Survey Monkey for lots of things!

    Cheers... Rick

For conditional branching you will probably need 'actions' and perhaps some user variables. Both can be found in the menu Project, Actions. Some introduction and a tutorial can be found in the Help, chapter 'Variables and advanced actions'. All depends on the way your branching will be determined, so it is not so easy to give a complete answer.

The results of quizzes (and survey answers are included in this term) are normally captured by a Learning Management System. Captivate is SCORM-compliant. You could have the results sent by e-mail, but from threads in this forum this seems not to be a very good option. Some wiser guys have described another possibility to have the results transfered to a database. But personally, since I'm working with a LMS, I could not really explain this method, I'm sorry.
