Hi jay fresno and welcome to our community

Nice fair question. After all, won't either choice basically accomplish the same thing? It would certainly seem that way. At least on the surface.

Here's the deal. Let's say you have a ten slide project. You have a button on slide two that, when clicked upon by your user should progress to slide three. By their very nature, Button and Click Box objects pause the project dead in its tracks until clicked upon by your user. (or until your user clicks the Play or Forward buttons in a playback control)

Imagine that slide two is 20 seconds long and the Button or Click Box pauses at perhaps three seconds. If the Button or Click Box has been left at its default setting of "Continue", your user has to sit and watch 17 more seconds of slide two before seeing slide three. But if you change the Click Box or Button so it instead jumps to the next slide, when your user clicks, they immediately skip over the remaining 17 seconds of slide two and see slide three.

Does that make better sense? I hope so.

    Sincerely... Rick
