Controlled Full motion recording not working

I am trying to record a software simulation on my Mac but the full motion recording buttons CMD f9 and CMD f10 do not start and stop video recording as I would expect. It is Captivate 2017.

I cannot offer you an answer, because I am a Windows user. However want to pop in to warn you not to use FMR slides if you want to publish to HTML5. Replace FMR slide by Video Demo slides.
