Controlling the appearance of Optional fluid boxes and smart shapes in fluid boxes captivate 2017

I am trying to get a smart shape to disappear when the screen shrinks to a certain size. I am using iphone 6 as the size I'd like it to disappear, but I'd like more control of optional shapes in general. The first image below shows the smart shape in yellow and it is in a child fluid box indicated by the red circle. The image below that on the left side are the properties for the parent fluid box. The image on the right side are the properties of the smartshape, and the image below these are the properties of the child fluid box that the smart shape is in. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Perhaps this tutorial might help you out with optional fluid boxes to give you the results you're looking for.

Thanks, Paul. Working on a big deadline, but I'll be getting back to it this week end.  BTW, just started watching your videos and have attended some parts of your live casts. I'm a big fan!

Hi Elliot,

I'm certainly no expert in Fluid boxes but I suspect your only option would be to make the initial font size larger, I suspect you  are never reaching the 50% wrap point to trigger the Option function in its current font size. I could be wrong, but it would be easy to check.

Cheers,

I wonder if there is a specific reason why you did not make the FB optional since it has only one image? If the FB has to remain, why would the image ever disappear?

It is optional. The child fluid box 11 is optional, it is inside fluid box 13 which is not

Below are the settings for fb 11

The parent fluid box has a lot of images  and other fluid boxes. That's why I put in this child fluid box and made  it optional. And then inside the optional child fluid box,  I put in a shape and made that optional. But, it's still showing up.  Thanks!
