Convert an existing demonstration to simulation

Hi,

does anyone know if its possible to convert an existing captivate demonstration to a simulation? My company has various demonstrations that we would lie to convert to simulations to allow the participant to practice the lessons, rather than just viewing them.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

    Is it possible that I just answered shortly on Twitter?

    If you do not mind some work, it is possible. Have a look at the Preferences, Recording, Modes to watch the difference between a Demonstration and Training simulation mode. You'll see that Demo-mode adds Text Captions (check them, perhaps they are useful also in Training, but normally they not added then), and mouse objects. You should have to remove the mouse objects which can easily be done by checking the mouse symbols in the Filmstrip, selecting all those slides and then hide the mouse.

    In Demo mode you get Highlight boxes when clicked, those have to be replaced by click boxes.

    In Demo mode when entering text you'll get a Typing object, that has to be replaced by a Text Entry Box, that will have to be configured for validation.

    A lot of work, as I told you on Twitter, try to find a good work flow to limit time.
