Convert .swf to .mov

Hi! I have a client that gave me some Captivate files. I am producing a video for this client and need to convert the files into .mov format to import into Final Cut. I have downloaded the trial version of Captivate and CS5 production, for that matter. Any help on free software or an inherent function within Adobe software would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello!

If you publish the captivate files as a F4V file using the Media option to the left in the Publish window, you can convert it to a FLV in Adobe Media Encoder.

Once in FLV, you can use a freeware software such as FLV Converter in order to encode it to MOV.

I hope that solves the issue!

Hey Christian... Thanks so much! In fact, I can transcode the file to .mov within Adobe Media Encoder, but the quality is definitely diminished. Any suggestions? I changed the output to that of my camera footage is DVCPRO 720p60. Should I just keep the native Captivate settings?

    Best,

You can change all the output settings you want in Media Encoder clicking on "Settings..." and then in the little down arrow next to "Open in Device Central".

There try to play around with the different video quality options, you will be able to see your changes live in the Output tab.
