Converting files

I have some captivate files I would like to convert to to the new format. i.e. convert .cp files to .cptx . The problem is that i cannot open them as all I have been able to download is captivate 9 and the files are too old to work with this. Is there someone within this community who could help me do this ?

    You need to find someone that has Captivate 5, 5.5, or 6.  After that none of the Captivate versions will open .cp file format.  And if the .cp is from something like Cp1 or 2, even then you may not be in luck.

    Consider seriously whether you are better off just rebuilding from scratch.  It might be a better option.
