Question

Cool Flipcard/flashcard effect - Can we build it ?

Hi,

This web site flips a card based on a rollover (warning it doesn't seem to work reliably in IE only Chrome) There is no need to sign up as you can click anywhere else and it skips it

http://floatlearning.com/tincancartoon/

I like the interaction of image and text  ( Also for those who are interested it shows the tin can api calls as a tin can on the text side)

Is this effect possible in Captivate using advanced actions and effects or widgets ?

My fellow Australian ( although they live 3500 Km away !) Infosemantic's widgets allow you to slide

http://www.infosemantics.com.au/adobe-captivate-widgets/slider-component

and rotate

http://www.infosemantics.com.au/adobe-captivate-widgets/rotator-component

but they do not allow a flip or skew or transform which going back to graphics matsh is what I think is what you need to do this

The maths it uses I think is here

Hi,

It is possible using a widget, BUT it won't work wth html5.

It is possible using custom effects and advanced actions, but if people click twice on the flipper it will freeze.

AND Customs effects won't work with shared actions in cp7

http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/shared-actions.html

"
  • Insert all the required slides and objects in the project, and then share actions.
  • Provide appropriate description for the shared action and parameters to help you easily identifiy them when you want to reuse.
  • Object groups can be used as parameters in shared actions. By doing so, you save both time and effort.
  • Do not use custom effects in shared actions.
  • Do not use placeholders as parameters in shared actions.

"

so the answer I think is no
