Copying and Pasting from Powerpoint to Capitivate and maintaining Captivates text Formating?

Does anyone know a way to get text out of powerpoint into Captivate without the Powerpoint Formatting being carried over into Captivate? This use to not be a probelm in CP 4, 5, and 5.5. It is really slowing my work flow down. I get powerpoint from my subject matter expert and now I have to copy in Powerpoint, past into Capitvate, then format. Before I copied in power point pasted and the formating in Captivate was maintained. This all started when I switch to Captivate 6.

As a workaround, open a notepad, copy all your text to notepad, this would take away the formatting from the Powerpoint, now copy from the notepad and paste it as caption in the Captivate, if you have modified a particular style for the Captivate Caption, the text would auto pick up that styling.

Thanks,

Hello there,

You can paste the text, and later click on reset style button in the properties panel below the Styles dropdown.

Thanks,

Vish

Thanks for the input. I have been using the two methods you both described. However the both ad an addition step in that was not there in the previous versions of Capitvate. I remembwe with Captivate 5 and 5.5 if you hit control C that formating from Powerpoint was maintained. If you right clicked and pasted the powerpoint formating was remove. This way was a perfect setup because you had the option of doing it both ways. Not sure why it was removed.
