Copying animation properties from one object to another in adobe captivate 9

Hi all,

I have recently started working on captivate 9. I had a query regarding the way to copy the animation properties from one object to another. Like in Powerpoint or Storyline there is animation painter which works similar to format painter. Using the animation painter one can copy the animation assigned to an object to another.

Does captivate provide such option? I was unable to figure that out. Kindly provide a way to copy the animation property of one object to another.

    I have a terminology issue.  Captivate has NO format painter. However it has a lot of ways to reuse 'things', even more than MS and Articulate.

    However can you explain what you mean by 'animation Properties', please? Are you talking about an object style (since you refer to a format painter)? Are you talking about an inserted animation (Media button)? Or are you perhaps referring to an Effect applied to an object?

    I am referring to the effect applied to a particular object. For example, a rectangle has basic animation effect alpha. I want to copy the same animation effect to other four rectangles present in the slide.

    Kindly suggest me an optimal way of resolving the task.

    I found out another way: Apply effect to all items of same type or this type using the orange highlighted button.

    In the below slide, there are many image objects on the slide. I want to animate the blue communication icon image (the one selected) to flicker and have the same effect for rest of the blue communication icon. When I am using the above apply effect for same type or this type, its copying the effect to all the images present in the course, I don't want that to happen. Is there any way possible to copy effect from one blue communication icon to the other? Kindly suggest.
