Question

"copying" video position across multiple PPT slides in Captivate

Hello,

I've placed a multi-slide video in the Stage area of my Powerpoint-based Captivate project.  The powerpoint position is obviously fixed, but I've had to customize the placement of the video for the first slide and I'd like to keep the video in the exact same customized position for all the other slides.  However, it seems that one can only "copy" images from one slide to another in the same position, but this does not seem to be possible with videos.  So at the moment I'm stuck re-customizing the placement of the video for each slide, with is a very slow and tedious process.  Any tricks that could solve this problem?
Many thanks for any ideas!

    Hi there

This seems to work for me. Place the video where you want it on the slide. Then click the Properties tab (for version 8) and click the Properties button. Then click the Options button/tab/whatchamacallit.Then click the Apply to all button and apply to all items in the group.

    Cheers... Rick

Thanks Rick! I will definitely try that.  Seems like it should work, in which case it will save me a huge amount of time.   Now I just need to solve my newly discovered publishing/encoding/bitrate problem, which will soon be a new forum post :/
