Question

CP 2017 and accessibility

Hi,

I have been testing CP with a screen reader (NVDA), having set up accessibility as per steps in video tutorials.

My questions:

how do I move from TOC to content?

Can I have a TOC and still make the project accessible?

I did a work-around/test by putting some content in buttons, so people could tab through it, what is a better solution, since I don't need buttons, just the ability to tab through?

TIA,

Robi

Tabs should do all of the navigation and you can decide the Tab Order as well. Refer to this doc from Adobe for more - Create accessible projects in Adobe Captivate

And, here's best practices - https://www.adobe.com/accessibility/products/captivate/best-practices.html

Let me know if this answers your questions.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I had seen these resources, and while useful, they didn't really solve my problem, since I cannot move from the TOC to the content on the page. Only tab within the TOC.

Hi, I had a problem with this in Captivate 9. I think we were told we needed to build a custom TOC as the one provided was not accessible (tabbing just kept looping in the TOC). We ended up having links to various sections in between lessons.
