Cp 2017: SmartShape displays variable value only on Normal State

Can anybody confirm this behavoiur in Captivate 2017?

A SmartShapes supposed to display a variable value (via 'Insert Variable') does not do this properly on any other state than Normal. Instead it displays the variable name with the leading and trailing $$. I didn't see this in Cp 9.

I don't know anything about Adobe's plans to officially release the fix, but in fact they fixed it pretty quickly. I received a patch within like two days or so after having posted my bug report. I was asked not to share the patch, but I guess if you get in touch with Adobe support, they'll let you have it as well.

I just finished a "CHAT" with Adobe and they walked me through a patch. They will release this as an official update very soon. If you cant wait for the official update contact Adobe via their CHAT window and i'm sure they will issue the patch.

Yes, I had just discovered, while preparing a blog about changes in advanced actions. that same bug, pretty annoying,

It doesn't only happen for shapes but also for text captions: only the normal state will show the value of the variable.

And if a shape is used as a button, the other InBuilt states also show only the variable name between $$.

I logged a bug report, maybe you can do the same?
