CP 2019: Extreme lag on Ipad on quiz slides (Safari and Chrome)

We usually have learner view our content on PC but somebody tried it on Ipad and it mostly works but towards the end when we come to the quiz slides (9 slides, no "send all" quiz) it bogs down from slide 4.

After pressing "submit" on each slide it freezes for up to 20 sec before the next slide appears.

CP 2019; both on Safari and Chrome on an Ipad Pro 2018. (Not a processor issue!).

I did set the slide length to only 1 sec but to no avail.

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

Thanks to Rod Ward, I found the solution!

In the respective slides, Change the On Success and On Last Attempt to Go to Next or Go to Slide (and specify the slide) rather than use Continue. That might speed things up more on the questions.

I simply changed it to "go to next slide". That did the trick! Rather easy fix if you know where to look...(crying emoji).

The issue you describe can occur when the content being viewed in a browser has submitted something to the server and is waiting for the LMS to respond.  This typically happens during the quiz where the user is submitting answers to questions.  Initially the server responds quickly but then gradually starts to bog down with the number of requests.

Make sure you test this by getting users on iPads to view your content from SCORM Cloud as well as your own LMS.  It's possible the LMS server latency is due to your own LMS being somewhat 'underpowered'.  Testing for the same issue on the same devices but a different server might show this up.

It's also possible that something about the fact that the device being used is a mobile device is causing the LMS or web server to lag more than usual.  Apple devices seem to "play by their own rules" at times.

    Thank you, Rod!

I tested on Android too and actually the issue remains.

Even on wifi. Lms is not the issue I think.

But the file apparently is waiting for a response from the server or so.

PC Browser on the same wifi has no issues with lag at all.

Apparently a mobile browser problem when not submitting all replies at once.

You cannot rule out the LMS as the problem unless you actually DO test it on more than one LMS.  I suggested SCORM Cloud because I happen to know their web servers are quite powerful and able to handle significant load.  It will only take a few minutes to confirm it if you try.
