CP 5.5: not differentiating between null and 0.

CP 5.5: We have a TEB that we are validating via an advanced action. The correct answer is supposed to be 0. We are not defining a value for the variable associated with the TEB (v_TEB1) only the value of the correct answer variable (v_TEB1_correct). Captivate does not seem to be differentiating between 0 and null. Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome on the forum,

That is one of my big frustrations: Captivate has only text variables, no difference between 0 (number) and "" (string). I have been asking since eons to be able to have both strings and numbers which would probably also give the opportunity to concatenate strings. But apparently the group of users who want such a functionality is too small and the team concentrates on more popular features.  I have been looking for all possible work arounds, with variables, but no way. Feeling sad, because this is your first question on the forum and I cannot even offer you a workaround.
