Cp 6 Retake Quiz button doesn't seem to work

Greetings,

I have a simple 7 question quiz generated from the Simulate Assessment recording. If user fails, and clicks the 'Retake Quiz' button, nothing happens.

I've tried both setting the Retake button to 'Jump to Slide...' and 'Continue'; neither works.

I have the same deck saved in Cp 5.5 and the 'Retake...' button works no problem.

Do you have multiple attempts enabled on Quiz level? I just checked an upgraded assessment in CP6 and the Retake button worked as expected: got me back to the first scored object.

Thanks for your help. Yes, multiple attempts are enabled. I believe this is the problem...

In Quiz > Settings I did not have 'Allow Backward Movement' ticked.
To me, the 'Allow Backward Movement' tickbox should be completely separate from the function provided by the retake quiz button. Yes, the retake is in a sense 'backward movement', but it serves a different function than moving back 1 slide. And yes, I realize I can tell Cp not to put in the 'Back' buttons if I do tick 'ABM'.

IMHO,  if I do not tick 'ABM' this is because I do not want the user to be able to go backwards among the quiz slides and change answers. Again, I see these as 2 independent features. Ticking the 'Show Retake Button' should allow for just that functionality, to go back and retake the quiz. It should not be contingent on whether I'm allowing for backward movement.
Why are they connected?

Does this sound like a request for v7, or am I alone in my thinking? (not unusual )

Related issue... it seems that I am having to click the 'Retake Quiz' button twice to get it to go back to the first scorable object.

Kave,  I don't think having Allow Backward Movement unticked would be causing this issue.  I just created a small sample project in Cp 5.5 using three quiz questions and tried using Retake Quiz with and without Allow Backward Movement ticked.  It made no difference.  I was returned to the first quiz question each time.

I think we may need to dig a little deeper to find the cause of this issue.

What are your settings for Quiz Settings > Required?
