CP 9 - Course won't exit when quiz is failed

We have a course set up with a quiz.  The preferences for the quiz is on Fail to exit.  When the course is played and the quiz failed the course just sits on the score slide.  Does not advance to the summary slide (which we didn't want it to do anyway).  It needs to just boot them out of the course.  We've also tried telling the continue button on the score slide to jump to a slide we've placed after the summary slide then had the actions for that slide to be exit.  The score slide just sits there after clicking continued for this option also.

Any suggestions?  What we want to have happen is if they fail the quiz they are just taken out of the course.

Thanks in advance,

Susan

When the student gets 85% or less after they see their score on the Quiz results slide and click the continue button we want the course to close.  They should only see our course summary slide if they've passed.  They are only getting one attempt on the quiz.

OK.  But what if the course is being played in just ONE TAB of a browser?  The browser window will only likely be allowed to close if you have specified the course open in a totally separate window on its own.  Have you made sure that is happening? Because if you were expecting that only the course's browser tab would close, in my experience that's not usually allowed to happen because it could shut down content unrelated to your course.
