CP 9 Properties won't update

Question

I'm trying to update a project and when I try to create a new slide and change the properties of smart shapes and text captions they won't change.All help will be appreciated.Susan

The original project was in CP8 and I'm updating using CP9. It was based on a template.

I can access properties but when I went to change text color or background in either a smart shape or a text caption it wouldn't change. I finally gave up closed the project and reopened it and now its working.

Was that project created in the same version? What about the used theme?

You can access the Properties, what is not changed if you try? Which object style is used?

Did you try to clear the preferences? That other file may have used totally different preferences. But I suspect a problem with the used theme...
