CP files are much larger in Captivate 2

Can someone please tell me if they have experienced much larger file sizes with Captivate 2 compared with version 1? There seems to be no real difference in recording options. Pretty basic, one or two photo images added, I checked preferences and many things in the Help section. Does the library add to the file size? Also, I am referring to the file size as seen in properties in Windows explorer, the file size within captivate is MUCH smaller. Thanks!

Hi mcnezi and welcome to our community

Are you referring to the size of the .CP file or the output file produced from the .CP file? If it's just the .CP file, I am aware the developers made changes to the internal structure, so this may account for the increase in file size. If you are referring to the file you produce (.SWF or .EXE) it's possible that any one of a number of factors could affect this.

    Cheers... Rick

Thanks, I was referring to the CP file. I read some additional postings and discovered copying to a new movie will reduce size tremendously. This is a bit tedious as you do have to reset preferences, etc.
