CP2017 - Text to speech - generate audio issue

As of CP2017, when converting slide notes to synthetic voice using Text to Speech > Generate audio, the generated audio ignores line breaks and rolls sentences together (if they don't end with a fullstop). The only way to get the audio to pause between sentences is to add fullstops, generate the audio and then delete the additional fullstops.

Is anyone else experiencing this? This is quite frustrating as all previous versions of Captivate knew to add silence between line breaks and we use the Text to Speech feature a lot!

Cheers.

Actually I kind of prefer it this way.  I found it frustrating that extra silence was inserted just because I had to split a sentence over multiple lines to ensure there was only one line at a time appearing as CC text.

Why wouldn't you have a full stop at the end of a normal sentence?

A lot of our content contains lists, for example...

Here are are list of examples:

    • This and that
    • More text
    • And then some

So Generate Audio now ignores the : and also rolls all the bullets into one. And bullets generally don't have fullstops at the end (not in our organisation anyway).
