CP4 files (.cp) in CP7

It appears that any files created in CP cannot be opened/edited in CP7. Is this a true statement.  What happens to projects that were created in CP4 and may need edits in CP7?

    Hi ,

    You cannot open CP4 files ( .cp ) into Captivate 7.

    Captivate will usually open files to upgrade at least the previous one or two versions.

    You can try one thing, If you can find someone with even a trial version file of Cp 5 or 5.5, then please try to open .cp file in Cp5 , then in Cp 5.5 and then try to open in Cp7.

    The chances of success would be lesser as Cp4 is an older version but you can try the given step.
