CP4 - no import of sound-files

Hi, I have problems to import wav- or mp3-soundfiles in CP4.

The import is not excepted for any clip - the error message is (german) "Die ausgewählte .wav/mp3-Datei kann nicht dekodiert und import werden".

I use W7 x64/CP4 - maybe is that the problem?

Greetings Wolvo

Sorry, your suggestions didn't work. The same error message still apears.

I have figured out the converter.dll has problems on x64-systems. On W7 x32 all works fine.

So we have to wait for a bug-fix of Adobe or the next release - if Adobe decide to go further with Captivate.

Hi Wolvo

Thanks for reporting back. It's odd, because I think there are some on Windows 7 reporting it works without issue. Did you try running in the XP compatibility mode?

At any rate, it's critically important that you and anyone else experiencing issues take a moment and file a bug report to Adobe. The bug report works like a voting system. The more reports they see, the higher the priority for a fix grows.

Guten Abend,

Did you install the update (end of May), because it solved a lot of audio problems. And 64-bit OS, as well Vista as Windows 7 seem not to live quite happily with CP all the time. Did you try to run in XP compatibility mode?
