CP5.5 Questions not reporting points

Apologies if this question has been asked before. Here is my scenario:

I have a Captivate 5.5 module. Within the module I have two sections, controlled by a menu built with buttons and advanced actions controlling the jump to slides. At the end of each section I ask a quiz question using a Question Slide (not from the Question Pool). It reports the answers with a point of 1 for a correct answer.

When a user completes the two sections, a button appears taking them to a slide saying they have completed the module. I have put a point on this button. I have the Captivate setup so that 3 points records the module as complete. Two from the questions and one from the final button.

However, when a question is placed at the end of each section, it acknowledges that the user got the question correct, but it doesn't record the score. When I get to the end of the captivate, it gives me a score of 1, that point being from the point on the final button.

If I move the two questions placed together (one after another) at the end of the captivate, it does record the scores correctly and I get a final score of 3. Is there an issue with scattering questions in and around the captivate module, or do they have to be placed together (one after another) for it to record the score.

Is this an issue just with CP5.5 or is it the same with 6, and am I just using the quiz questions wrong. Surely you should be able to place quiz questions in and around a training module.
