CP5 Closed Captioning not in sync with speech agent narration

We are having an issue with the CC not being in sync with the narration provided by the speech agents.  When we look at the sound wave after we've done the text to speech recording the CC lines aren't in the correct position to sync with the audio.  we move them to the correct position but they don't always stay there.

Anyone else experience this?  Did you find a way to fix it?

Thank you,

Susan

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching Adobe Community.

I have few questions before we proceed with any steps.

Which version of Captivate you are using?

What is your operating system?

Is it happening on a specific project? Have you tried it on a new blank project?

Thanks!

We are using Captivate 5 on a Windows XP and. or Win 7 operating system

This has occurred sporadically on different projects.  These projects were on different machines using different licensed versions of CP5.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

Please follow the below steps:

  • Save your project.
  • Close Captivate.
  • Go to : C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5 folder
  • Rename the Captivate 5 folder.

Relaunch Captivate and then try again.

Thanks!
