CP5 Distributed Audio Start at Slide feature

I know there is a lot of chatter about the bugginess of the distributed audio feature.

I import an audio file to a single slide (because that's the only way selecting distribute across all slides works). Then, I use the edit tool to insert audio start points for each slide in the file.

1) After a few slides, the feature doesn't insert a start point anymore. Though it does have arbitrary points that were auto-inserted.

2) After retrying this with several similar audio files, it appears that the start points are retained in the project even though I have removed audio and cleared the files from the Library.

Are these the same issues that other folks are having? I assume if I edit the .wav file to separate chunks, I can import one file per slide and work from there. Not ideal.

Any ETA for a patch?

Hi,

Can you please explain the issue once again. I did not understand the issue clearly. Hopefully then I would be able to help you with it.

This issues I was responding to involve both version 4-5

of Captivate. When you try to insert audio the "distribute over multiple slides" option dialog box does not open and the audio is only applied to the current slide selected. In my case (version 4) I deleted all imported slides and reinserted them and that seemed to resolve my issue.

This worked for me:

I deleted the slides I imported and re-imported them. The audio distrubute dialog box opened right up.
