Cp9 - Copy/Paste issue. Slide Notes on pasted slides overwrite slide notes on copied slides

Hello Forums! I am having an issue that is causing me to look in the mirror and whisper "Is it me?! Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I missed?"

If I copy/paste OR duplicate slides (it happens using both actions), when I edit the slide notes text of the pasted slides...the slide notes text of the copied slides changes as well...to the pasted text.

Example.

Slides 1-5 have slide notes with text about Bob the dog in a tree

Copy/Paste OR Duplicate slide 1-5 about bob the dog (happens either way)

Edit the slide notes of slides 6-10 with text about Mary the cat in a car

When I go back to slides 1-5...no more Bob the dog text. It's all Mary the cat text.

Before I copy/paste anything, I now have to print the entire project into a Word document so I can see what the slide notes USED to be before I copied them...because the moment you edit any Slide Notes in the pasted slides…they overwrite the slide notes on the copied slides.

We develop using TTS and display CC so the text in the Slide Notes is mondo important.

It boggles my mind that this would be an acceptable bug...so I submitted a bug report.

I have lost a ton of work due to this bug. I am tempted to just scrap Captivate and move to Storyline (yeah...I'm that disgruntled)

Any company for my misery? Any advice? Does this happen to anyone else?

Thanks,

Rage Crying in Denver

Yes I have also seen this particular bug but not for a long time now, several years at least.

What exact version of Captivate are you using?  Are you able to update?

Thank you Rod for easing my anxiety that I was losing my dang mind!

    I am on v 9.0.2.437 and I use Windows 7 Enterprise.

When I check for updates in Cp9, Captivate does not come up in the list iof updates so I am assuming I am on the most recent version.

I guess my next step is to uninstall and reinstall.

    Thanks for your reply!

Sorry, I suspect Rod is in dreamland at this moment. Just want to warn you that you should read the release notes when reinstalling. Cleaning the Preferences and deleting some Public folders is also necessary when reinstalling:
