CP9 SmartShape font size different than default setting

I am recording projects in Captivate 9. I set the Global Settings to have all captions and smart shapes use size 18 font. I selected the setting to use SmartShape instead of captions.

I record a new Software Simulation project (Training Mode) and ALL of the captions that accompany the click boxes are now 17 font size. When I select a caption, I see that a few of the options still allow me to "Apply to all items of this type or style" but I can't change the font size for all captions. So, I have to go to each slide, select the caption, and manually change the font from 17 to 18. This is causing a lot of extra work.  Note that the colors of the captions match what I set in the global preferences. It is only the font size that changes upon recording. Note that I'm NOT using responsive recording for these projects.

Is there anything I can do so recorded projects keep the size 18 font size?

If not, is there any way to change the caption font size universally within a project so I don't have to go slide by slide?

You didn't specify your work flow. Did you change the Defaults for Object Styles, and set up the Defaults in Preferences, Recording, Defaults as well? Both are components of the theme you are using and after editing styles in those locations, you can save a custom theme.

If you didn't override the default styles for the messages in a software simulation, you can edit the default style after creation and this should propagate throughout the project.

With all projects closed, I set everything in the Object Style Manager. I changed the settings for the default object styles. Then I recorded a new Training Mode project. Yes, Preferences > Recording >Defaults indicates it is using the Default Smart Shape Style. I will try saving the Theme and see if that works.

With a project open, I changed the style in the Object Style Manager and that did change all of the captions-THANKS!

The font size appears to be related to the size of the recording area. I tried recording a much larger area and the caption font size was much larger than what I set.
