cpInfoCurrentFrame and slide video not synced.

Hi

I am using micronavigation using the cpInfoCurrentFrame to show certain objects on certain frames.

When I preview the course and quick use the playbar to drag to the frame where the object should pop up. Its excactly where I want it to be as regarding to the video..

When I watch the whole course from start to end the object pops up at the same frame. But the slide video are about 3 seconds ahead of the frame than when I scrolled to it.

Why is that And what can I do about it?

Micro-navigation is a word I invented many years ago, thanks for using it.

How did you use cpInfoCurrentFrame? It is very tricky if you use it to navigate to a frame in an absolute way and indeed - slide video take some loading time On Enter, which can cause loss of synchronisation. The progress bar in the default playbars is different.

When I use cpInfoCurrentFrame I try to use it relative to another frame to avoid those synch problems. Example: I will store the first frame of a slide in a user variable and refer to that frame to move to another frame in the slide. Is that also your way?

Moreover in slide video, I avoid free navigation by using the inbuilt bookmarks to allow navigation to specific points in the video. Even if you don't use other features of interactive video (overlay slides) those bookmarks can be very useful.

Im a not storing the first fram no. Not sure how I would do that.
Can u use the bookmarks as navigation? did not now that. will need to check that out.

But will this solve the problem? Wont the video still be out of sync?

    Thank you for the reply

Please have a look at these blog posts:

You can use the tag 'micro navigation' on my blog to find more about that topic. You always need to be aware that it is not completely reliable to go to a specific frame but with relative navigation it will be less problematic.

Bookmarks in a slide video are embedded, less issues with synchronisation. Here is another blog post:
