Create a custom multiple choice image quiz

Hello,I'm a novice to Adobe Captivate 5.5, intermediate computer skills, minimal programming knowledge. Captivate has great built in quick setup quizzes. However, they don't fit my specific needs.  I have a few students who are special needs, most have auditory processing issues, some are higher functioning than others. I want to create a quiz/training, with the following criteria:1 - ask a multiple choice question2 - answer choices can be words/images or both and are shown in random order (so it's not a memorization test)3 - the test questions can be drawn from a pool so the progression of the test becomes more challenging4 - optionally removing images or words based on the individual's needs5 - adding text to talk6 - choosing the correct answer shows an image like a star or ribbon 7 - the results must be stored ------example question-------The red ____                 car                                        truck                                   bicycle-----------------------------------I understand captivate 5.5 has built in quiz feature, which covers most of the criteria, the main issue I've been having is adding the images to multiple choice answers. When I select multiple choice quiz there is no option to insert pictures or images, or to merge/associate an image to an answer choice. Does anyone know of a tutorial, or perhaps an easy how to? With my limited programming knowledge I don't know how to program a full flash slide. Thanks in advance.

Captivate does not currently allow you to add images as answer options in the default multiple-choice quiz question type. It's designed for quickly entering text answers.

There are however OTHER quiz question options that might better suit your needs. You may just need to think a little further outside the box to get what you want. How do you define a "multiple choice question" anyway?

For example, if what you really want is that your learners select a particular image as the answer, then why not just use Hot Spot questions instead. If you place multiple images on the slide and place Hot Spots over the correct answer/s then effectively this becomes a multiple-choice question if you have only ONE correct answer (one Hot Spot) or a multi-answer quiz question if there are multiple correct answers (multiple hot spots over images).

Randomisation of the images means you cannot use Hot Spot questions. They have no randomisation options as other question types do. However, even here there IS another way. Why not use a drag and drop question widget instead? (Trial versions here...)

The Infosemantics Drag and Drop widgets allow for randomisation of drag objects on screen at runtime, either by swapping positions, or spread randomly across the screen. Your learners just drag the objects and drop them onto target areas to answer the interaction. This is usually going to be a much more engaging interaction for users anyway (in my opinion). These widgets also allow many other configurable options to increase the interest of the interaction. For example, you can make drag objects disappear when dropped so that it appears as if the target 'ate' the object. Great for interactions involving younger audiences.

Captivate allows for question pools, so that part of your need is covered. I think your reference to "text to talk" is about Closed Captioning, yes? If so, then this is also possible in Captivate. Showing an image as a feedback option is possible with a little simple Advanced Action scripting. And storing the results of the quiz is usually something handled by a Learning Management System or LMS, as the Captivate modules do not store results internally.
